It is one of the most renowned cuisines in the Tamil Nadu repertoire.
Chettinad food is famous for its use of freshly ground spices which give it rich flavors.
Most dishes are traditionally eaten with rice.
Common rice-based accompaniments include dosais, appams, idiyappams, adais, and idlis.
